OPRAH'S BIG GIVE Philanthropic Cause-Related Marketing InitiativesBased on the cumulative experience that Malaak has garnered during her professional career in public relations, promotions, celebrity relations, and in the not-for-profit sector, she currently develops or consults on a number of philanthropic cause-related marketing campaigns. These initiatives successfully combine special events, media relations, celebrity relations, and corporate sponsorships to raise funding and awareness for non-profit organizations. Recent examples include the 2008 Champions for Children Child Abuse Public Awareness Campaign and the Target/CW Network "Everybody Hates Chris" Christmas Spectacular benefitting the Salvation Army Bushwick Community Center and Safe Horizon's Expert and Compassionate Services in Brooklyn.
