OPRAH'S BIG GIVE
On March 2, 2008, Harpo Productions premiere its first primetime network series, OPRAH'S BIG GIVE. Watch the drama and emotion unfold in this unprecedented competition as determined contestants from all walks of life transform the lives of others. Millions of dollars are given away in this intense cross-country adventure that twists and turns in ways that test the nerve, passion and stamina of each contestant. Each week, a mystery challenge is unveiled, and in order to win, contestants must out-give one another. Big-name stars join OPRAH'S BIG GIVE as the stakes get higher and the emotions intensify in every episode. The judges continue to make the tough call of who will go home before the final episode, when the Biggest Giver is named and the surprise ending is revealed. Philanthropic Cause-Related Marketing Initiatives

Based on the cumulative experience that Malaak has garnered during her professional career in public relations, promotions, celebrity relations, and in the not-for-profit sector, she currently develops or consults on a number of philanthropic cause-related marketing campaigns. These initiatives successfully combine special events, media relations, celebrity relations, and corporate sponsorships to raise funding and awareness for non-profit organizations. Recent examples include the 2008 Champions for Children Child Abuse Public Awareness Campaign and the Target/CW Network "Everybody Hates Chris" Christmas Spectacular benefitting the Salvation Army Bushwick Community Center and Safe Horizon's Expert and Compassionate Services in Brooklyn. She is currently working on several critical campaigns, including a volunteer exchange program for at-risk youth in Brooklyn and is developing a sustainable living project that will utilize the entertainment industry to aid and support third-world artisans.

Public Speaking

Malaak Compton-Rock enjoys public speaking and accepts a number of speaking engagements yearly that allow her to spread her core messages. Speaking topics include: Renewing the Inner Spirit, Philanthropic Giving, Finding Balance in Life, Successfully Blending a Family and Professional Life, and Raising Giving Children in a Global World.
