MALAAK COMPTON-ROCK TO HEADLINE FUND-RAISER FOR ENGLEWOOD HOSPITAL
Humanitarian, author and international celeb Malaak Compton-Rock of Alpine will be the featured speaker at the launch of the Breakfast Club of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center on April 27 at Montammy Golf Club, Route 9 west in Alpine. Compton-Rock, a worldwide advocate for human justice, community service and volunteerism, will also sign copies of her book, If It Takes a Village, Build One, scheduled to be released in early April.

Malaak Compton-Rock hosts a party at her home to celebrate the launch of Black Pain: It Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting, a self-help book on depression by Terrie M. Williams. The book party also served as a venue to raise awareness on the issue of depression by reading real-life stories from the book, asking people to take a stand on the issue, and pledging to do whatever they can to shed light and take away the stigma of this dark issue.
